Visiting Carrick Activity Centre

Can I visit Carrick Activity Centre before joining?

Yes. You're welcome to come and have a look around Carrick Activity Centre in Dailly before deciding whether it's for you. We'll show you around, explain what's available and answer any questions. There's no obligation to join.

I've never been to a gym before. Is Carrick Activity Centre for me?

Yes. You don’t need gym experience, fancy kit or a clue what half the equipment does. We’ll show you around, help you get comfortable and let you start at a level that works for you.

What happens when I visit for the first time?

We'll meet you, show you around the centre and talk about what you're interested in. That might be using the gym, joining a class, playing sport or simply finding a way to become a little more active. You can ask questions and see the facilities before deciding what you'd like to do next.

What should I wear or bring on my first visit?

If you're only coming for a look around, just come as you are. If you're planning to exercise, comfortable clothing, suitable footwear and a drink are a good place to start.

Gym & Membership

How much does Carrick Activity Centre membership cost?

Gym membership is currently £20 a month, paid monthly by standing order. *Fees are subject to change. There’s no long-term contract, and your first circuit class is free if you'd rather try a class before deciding what's right for you.

Is there a membership contract?

No. Membership is paid monthly by standing order, without tying you into a long-term contract. We’d rather you keep coming because CAC works for you, not because a contract says you have to.

Do I need a gym induction before using the equipment?

Yes. Before using the gym independently, you'll have an induction so we can show you how to use the equipment safely. It's also a chance to talk about what you'd like to achieve and which equipment may be most useful for you.

Can someone show me how to use a piece of equipment again after my induction?

Absolutely. If you’re unsure how something works or simply need a reminder, just ask. We’d much rather show you again than have you standing wondering what to do. There’s no such thing as asking too many times.

What are the gym opening hours?

We are open 6 days a week. Monday to Friday 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 - 1:00 PM. CLOSED Sundays.
